In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, tensions escalated as firing broke out during an Indian Army search operation in the dense jungles near the attack site. The operation, aimed at flushing out remaining terrorists, turned into a brief but intense encounter, though no casualties have been reported so far.The attack has sparked nationwide outrage, prompting the central government to call an emergency all-party meeting. In a rare display of unity, leaders from all opposition parties pledged their support to the government’s fight against terrorism. One senior opposition leader stated, “Whatever action the government takes, we will stand by it.”Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a strong warning, promising strict punishment for those responsible. Intelligence and investigative agencies are actively collecting evidence pointing to Pakistan’s involvement in orchestrating the attack. Sources suggest that the government is preparing for a strong diplomatic and possible military response. The country remains on high alert, with increased surveillance across sensitive regions. Meanwhile, public sentiment is demanding swift justice and long-term strategies to eliminate cross-border terrorism. The Pahalgam incident has once again underlined the need for national unity in the face of such threat.
