On Losing from Begusarai and Delhi, Kanhaiya Kumar Says: “Defeat Doesn’t Define Capability”

ABP News Bureau   |  12 Apr 2025 01:02 PM (IST)

In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar responded candidly to questions about his electoral defeats from Begusarai and Delhi. Dismissing criticism that he’s a "political migrant," Kanhaiya clarified that he serves wherever the party assigns him. He emphasized that losing elections doesn’t determine a leader’s capability, citing examples like Atal Bihari Vajpayee who also faced defeats during his political journey. “If I’m wrong, then my decision to join Congress is wrong; but if I’m right, then so is my decision,” he said. He reiterated his commitment to Bihar, stating that his voter ID and emotional connection remain rooted in the state. As talks intensify about Congress projecting him as a potential CM face, Kanhaiya’s bold stand signals his intent to play a deeper role in Bihar politics. The interview also touched on his views about Bihar’s potential and the need for special support for the state’s development.
