ABP News Bureau   |  23 Feb 2025 11:09 AM (IST)

As the Maha Kumbh Mela reaches its 42nd day, the scene at Sangam is bustling with a massive influx of devotees. With just three days left before the grand conclusion on Mahashivaratri, over 32 million pilgrims have already bathed in the holy waters. The Sangam area is crowded, with devotees traveling from all corners of India, walking kilometers to reach the sacred site. Many devotees, including those from Bihar, Delhi, and Aligarh, are enduring long walks, some covering up to 8 to 10 kilometers to take a dip. The atmosphere is charged with devotion, as people engage in prayers, rituals, and processions. The Kumbh Mela, which began on January 13 with the Paush Purnima, has exceeded expectations with more than 60 million people participating in the sacred bath. On this Sunday, the crowd at Sangam is at its peak, as devotees seek to complete their spiritual journey before the Mela concludes. Despite the hardships, including long walks and traffic congestion, the faith and enthusiasm of the pilgrims remain unwavering, as they fulfill their religious obligations with immense devotion and excitement.
