As many as 37 flights were diverted on Sunday due to poor visibility caused by high concentration of smog in and around the Delhi airport. NCR Environment Pollution (prevention & control) Authority (EPCA) chairman Bhure Lal has directed district officials to shut hot mix plants, stone crushers till November 8. Besides, he has also directed that all coal and other fuel-based industries, which have not shifted to natural gas, should remain closed in Gurugram, Faridabad, Gaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Sonepat, Bahadurgarh, Panipat, and Bhiwani.
