Jharkhand Election 2019: Voting process begins amid tight security

The voting for the first phase of elections has begun in Jharkhand. Thirteen seats of six districts have undergone the polling process. The voting will be done in five phases. Today, people will cast their votes from 6 am to 3 pm. The areas are Naxal affected and this is why 35000 soldiers have been deployed for peaceful election process.
A total of 228 candidates had filed their nomination papers for polls in the first phase.
