J&K: Another batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims leave from Pantha Chowk under tight security measures

View In AppSrinagar (J&K), July 30 (ANI): A fresh batch of pilgrims left for the holy Amarnath yatra on July 30 from the Pantha chowk Srinagar base camp under tight security measures. Security measures have been heightened keeping in view the safety and security of the pilgrims. This year, the yatra started on June 29 and will end on August 19, lasting 52 days. Devotees of Lord Shiva undertake this arduous annual pilgrimage to the holy cave located in the Kashmir Himalayas. Speaking to ANI, a pilgrim said “It feels great coming here. The weather in Kashmir is amazing. We hadn’t planned for the Amarnath Visit but after coming here we decided to go to Amarnath. Everyone should come here.” Another pilgrim said, “We came here to explore Kashmir but after seeing all the pilgrims here we have made up our mind to visit Amarnath. We are very excited and the management is very good here.”
