India would have reported more than 8 lakh cases without lockdown: MEA

If lockdown was not implemented in India, then the nation would have reported 8.20 lakh cases till 15 April. In an conversation with foreign media personnel, Ministry of External Affairs officer Vikas Swaroop presented this data. India is under lockdown for 21 days till 14 April. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said: "I know that some countries are already planning the transition out of stay-at-home restrictions. At the same time, lifting restrictions too quickly could lead to a deadly resurgence."
