Heavy rainfall continues across several states, with the Meteorological Department forecasting more intense showers over the next 3-4 days. An alert has been issued for 19 districts, including areas in Rajasthan. The deluge is wreaking havoc, as the Godavari River is flowing above the danger mark, and the Narmada River is exhibiting a fierce surge due to continuous rains. The rising water levels in the Narmada have led to flood-like conditions in the city, with floodwaters spilling onto roads, invading residential areas, and filling lower-lying zones. Additionally, several ghats have been submerged. The Meteorological Department has issued another alert for heavy rainfall in multiple states today.
