Experts discuss possible outcomes before assembly election results

The 243 Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu and 30 in the Union Territory of Puducherry went on polls in a single phase on April 6th, the results of which are set to be declared today, Sunday May 2nd. In Tamil Nadu, the massive tussle is mainly between the ruling AIADMK and MK Stalin-led DMK. The party/ coalition needs minimum 118 seats to stake claim for the government formation. In Puducherry, the BJP has contested the polls in alliance with the AIADMK and AINRC while the Congress has allied with the DMK.
