To demand fast-track dealing of rape cases and death penalty for the accused, Swati Maliwal, the chief of Delhi Commission for Woman, has sit on an indefinite hunger strike from Tuesday.
Maliwal tweeted that she will not end her hunger strike until the Centre announces that rapists will be served death penalty and that rape cases will be resolved within six months.
Maliwal sat on an indefinite hunger strike at the Jantar Mantar from 10 a.m. onwards on Tuesday.
