Crime Alert: Delhi Ashram Head Swami Chaitanyananda Faces Sexual Harassment Allegations, On Run

In Delhi, a major scandal has emerged from a well-known ashram where its head, Swami Chaitanyananda, has been accused of sexual misconduct by 32 female students. The victims, who were enrolled in a management course at the ashram, reported that the swami harassed them and sent obscene messages. Seventeen of these students have already filed formal statements under Section 164 with a magistrate.Following the complaints, Delhi Police registered a case of sexual harassment against Swami Chaitanyananda, who is currently absconding. In the course of the investigation, police recovered a luxury Volvo car from the institute’s basement, which was equipped with a fake embassy number plate used to evade detection. Investigations revealed that this swami had previously faced legal cases in 2009 and 2016 related to sexual misconduct.Authorities are conducting extensive searches and raids to apprehend him, using CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and leads from his last known location in Agra. Police continue to collect statements from other students who come forward and are committed to delivering justice to the victims. The case has sparked public outrage, highlighting serious concerns about student safety and accountability in educational and spiritual institutions.
