Cloudy day in Coimbatore, solar eclipse may not be witnessed

It is a cloudy day in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore and hence it may be difficult for the people to witness solar eclipse today. The Ring Of Fire may be seen at 9.28 am but clouds may ruin a clear view of it. 
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the Sun for a viewer on Earth.
