Chamoli Rescue: 4 Workers Still Trapped, 4 Dead, High-Tech Machines Called from Delhi

ABP News Bureau   |  02 Mar 2025 11:37 AM (IST)

The rescue operation in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district has entered its third day as teams continue efforts to save four workers still trapped under heavy snow. Of the 54 people initially stranded, 50 have been rescued. Tragically, four workers succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Despite hours of relentless efforts, rescue teams have been unable to locate the remaining trapped laborers due to harsh weather and challenging terrain. To speed up the process, high-tech machines have been brought in from Delhi to aid in clearing the snow and debris. Multiple agencies, including NDRF and SDRF, are involved in the mission, but freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall are making the task extremely difficult. Authorities have assured that all possible resources are being utilized to complete the rescue as soon as possible. Medical teams are on standby to provide immediate treatment to survivors. The state government is closely monitoring the situation, and families of the trapped workers anxiously await updates as rescue teams battle severe conditions in a race against time.
