Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister, has similar difficulties. In the years 2021-2022 (FY22), the economy began to recover. Corporate earnings, on the other hand, have been strong, and the Centre's direct and indirect tax revenue will comfortably exceed the budgeted levels.
