Political turbulence seems to be brewing within Maharashtra’s Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) ahead of the upcoming BMC elections. Mumbai Congress President Varsha Gaikwad has made a strong statement indirectly targeting Raj Thackeray, asserting that her party “will not side with those who do not respect the Constitution or the law.” Her remarks come at a time when the Sharad Pawar-led NCP faction has hinted at being open to including the MNS chief Raj Thackeray in the MVA alliance.Speaking on the political development, reporter Ganesh Thakur highlighted that Congress leaders are slowly clarifying their stance making it evident that Raj Thackeray’s entry into the MVA coalition is unwelcome. Sources within the Congress suggest that while senior leadership is yet to make a final decision, individual leaders have started voicing their disapproval. The situation underscores a growing rift within the MVA, as key allies appear divided on potential alliances and future strategy.
