Breaking News: India Destroys Sialkot Terror Launch Pad, Signals Beginning of 'Atankistan’s' Collapse

ABP News Bureau   |  10 May 2025 12:13 PM (IST)

India has stepped up its counter-terror operations by destroying a major terror launch pad in Pakistan’s Sialkot region, located in Punjab province. This launch pad, positioned across the Akhnoor sector, was being used to push terrorists into the Samba sector of Jammu. The BSF carried out a precision strike after receiving intelligence that the same location was involved in the recent infiltration attempt where seven terrorists were gunned down. The strike is part of India’s broader and assertive response under Operation Sindoor, targeting Pakistan’s terror launch points across PoK, Muridke, Bahawalpur, and more. According to defense experts, India has adopted a multi-layered strategy — not only engaging militarily but also diplomatically and economically. The long-pending hydroelectric and irrigation projects under the Indus Water Treaty are being accelerated, further weakening Pakistan’s water-dependent agricultural economy. Internally, Pakistan is crumbling. Balochistan is witnessing increasing unrest, parliamentarians are speaking out against the government, and leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are protesting. With the economic crisis deepening, foreign exchange reserves falling, and fuel shortages leading to petrol pump closures in border areas, Pakistan’s stability appears threatened. India’s measured yet firm military responses, like destroying terror infrastructure and leveraging water diplomacy, show its commitment to dismantling terror without destabilizing its own economy. Meanwhile, the deployment of naval assets like INS Vikrant in the Arabian Sea sends a clear message. Experts suggest this could be the beginning of the end for Pakistan’s proxy war strategy — marking the slow collapse of what is now being called “Atankistan.”
