Breaking: ₹1 Crore Rewarded Naxalite Ramdher Majji Surrenders in Chhattisgarh with Team

ABP News Bureau   |  08 Dec 2025 01:39 PM (IST)

In a major breakthrough against left-wing extremism, senior Naxalite leader Ramdher Majji, who was carrying a bounty of ₹1 crore, has surrendered before security forces in Chhattisgarh. The surrender took place in the Bakarkatta area of Khairagarh district. Ramdher Majji, considered a high-ranking Naxalite and often described as a figure comparable to notorious Naxal commander Hidma, surrendered along with his entire armed squad. A total of 13 Naxalites, including six women and six men, laid down their arms during the operation. A large cache of weapons was also recovered by security agencies. Officials stated that Majji was highly active in the MMC (Maharashtra–Madhya Pradesh–Chhattisgarh) tri-junction zone, considered one of the most sensitive and heavily affected regions by Naxal activity. His surrender is being seen as a major strategic victory for the government and security forces. Authorities believe this development significantly strengthens the government’s resolve to make the region Naxal-free by March 2026. Security agencies have termed this surrender a landmark achievement in ongoing anti-Naxal operations.
