In a bizarre development post his arrest by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with a religious conversion racket, the accused Mohammed Umar has claimed that he belongs to the family of former Prime Minister V.P. Singh.

The accused, who himself is a convert, is originally a resident of Ramwa Panthuwa village in Haswa block of Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district.
