Bareilly SSP Leads Flag March City Split Into Four Super Zones And Four Special Zones

ABP News Bureau   |  03 Oct 2025 02:02 PM (IST)

Bareilly city witnessed heightened security measures on Friday as SSP Anurag Arya personally led a flag march to ensure law and order during Jumma prayers. The city was strategically divided into four super zones and four special zones, with a total of 8,500 security personnel deployed, including civil police, PAC, and intelligence units. Drones monitored sensitive areas, while rooftop checks ensured no stones or other objects were stockpiled that could disrupt peace. Authorities issued appeals to the public, urging residents to perform prayers peacefully and return home immediately afterward. Female police personnel were also deployed to ensure the safety of women and children. Local religious leaders, including Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, made public appeals for calm, emphasizing the importance of maintaining harmony between communities. These proactive measures follow previous unrest in Bareilly, where clashes occurred over provocative slogans and posters. With both police and community leaders actively involved, the administration aims to prevent any repeat of last week’s incidents. Continuous surveillance, public advisories, and heavy police presence reflect Bareilly’s commitment to preserving communal harmony and ensuring public safety during sensitive events.
