Ayesha Case: 'Avoid reading nikah where dowry is taken', says Chief Imam of India

The Chief Imam of India today announced a very important announcement regarding dowry, referring to the harassment and suicide of Ayesha due to dowry in Ahmedabad. Chief Imam of India doctor Imam Umer Ahmad Ilyasi instructed Qazi, Imam, and Maulanas across the country not to read nikah in a wedding where dowry is being taken or given in one of their special arguments in Delhi's Imam House Mosque.
