After sedition charges, Zafarul Islam to remain on constitutional post?

Chairman of Delhi Minorities Commission Zafarul Islam Khan has been booked under Sedition charges over his 'provocative' remarks. He apologized yesterday with a tweet saying, 'I realise that my tweet was ill-timed and insensitive in view of our county facing a medical emergency and fighting an unseen enemy. I apologise to all whose sentiments were hurt'. The question arises, Will he remain on constitutional post after sedition charges?
