Govt ready to talk to Shaheen Bagh protesters in structured way: RS Prasad

admin   |  02 Feb 2020 09:12 PM (IST)

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday while talking to ABP News said the government is ready to talk to the protesters at Shaheen Bagh to clear their doubts over the amended Citizenship law, but it should be in a "structured form".

He said the dialogue is only possible if the protesters come up with the same opinion. The government will not go to Shaheen Bagh, the minister added.

This is perhaps for the first time on national television, a Union minister has expressed willingness to communicate with the Shaheen Bagh protestors who have been staging a sit-in since last 40 days to protest the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Nitin Gadkari also appealed the agitators to call-off the protest.
