The Congress on Monday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's remarks expressing concern over the lack of peace in Manipur, saying perhaps Bhagwat could inspire the "former RSS functionary" to visit Manipur.

The violence broke out between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur in May last year. Since then, nearly 200 people have been killed, while thousands have been displaced following large-scale arson that has gutted houses and government buildings.
