Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee is an American economist, from Bengal, India, who is the Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Nobel prize winner Abhijit Banerjee said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was his contemporary at JNU where he studied economics. He also spoke about the current slowdown in the Indian economy.
