India Energy Week 2025 began at the Dwarka Yashobhoomi Convention Center in Delhi on Tuesday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurating the event from France. In his video message, the Prime Minister emphasized that India is not only advancing its own development but is also contributing to global growth, particularly in the energy sector. India Energy Week will continue until February 14 and is expected to be a significant event with more than 70,000 energy professionals from over 50 countries participating. It will feature over 100 CEOs and energy ministers, highlighting India’s role in the global energy transition. Prime Minister Modi also mentioned India's impressive achievements, such as a 32-fold increase in solar energy generation capacity in the last decade, making India the third-largest solar power producer globally. The hydrogen buses developed in collaboration with Tata Motors and Indian Oil also gained significant attention, showcasing India's progress in sustainable urban transport.
