Amarnath Cloudburst: How did so much destruction take place? | ABP News

The cloudburst happened at the Pavitra Gufa in Amarnath causing extremely heavy rainfall leading to flooding, the floods then traveled from the Pavitra Gufa to the base camps in the region. The flash floods caused houses and tourist camps to float away. 

A rescue operation is in place to save all those affected by the floods and bring them to safety.
