50,000 applications received for citizenship in UP

With the Citizenship Amendment Act now enacted in the country, the Uttar Pradesh government officials have started a door to door exercise in order to identify the refugees. Many refugees are from Bangladesh and live in Rampuria Colony. More than 50,000 refugees have been identified and they may get citizenship soon.
