20th anniversary of 9/11 attack: Where is the US standing after 20 years?

Today is the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Britain has expressed the threat of a similar attack from the Taliban.  On September 11, 2001, Al Qaeda terrorists using passenger planes as missiles targeted the famous World Trade Tower and Pentagon. It is seen as the biggest terrorist attack in US history.
