Master Stroke: Center bows-down against 20 crore Dalit population, brings bill to restore SC/ST Act

The Centre has decided to reverse a Supreme Court ruling through an amendment bill in Parliament. The Supreme Court on March 20 ruled that an accused named in an FIR lodged under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act need not be arrested without conducting preliminary investigation.
