LS polls: Akhilesh Yadav to contest elections from Azamgarh

The Samajwadi Party on Sunday declared that its party chief Akhilesh Yadav will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Azamgarh constituency, while former UP minister Azam Khan will contest from Rampur parliamentary constituency.

The major announcement came soon after the party declared its list of star campaigners for the forthcoming elections.

 

Akhilesh’s father Mulayam Singh Yadav is the Member of Parliament from Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituency which is one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.
