The India Meteorological Department has issued a snowfall and avalanche alert in Srinagar for next seven days. It has appealed people to be alert.
In a tragic incident, an avalanche hit Ladakh’s Khardung La mountain pass in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The incident has left at least 10 people trapped, who have gone missing after the avalanche; as their vehicle came under the snow.The authorities have discovered three bodies so far.
