Ideas of India Summit 2025: Shashwat Goenka Talks Consumer Trends and Healthy Snacking Innovation

ABP Live   |  21 Feb 2025 02:45 PM (IST)

At the "Ideas of India" summit, Shashwat Goenka shared insights on the changing landscape of consumer behavior and the evolution of product innovation. He highlighted how consumer habits have shifted, with tier-one city households now placing 10 orders on quick commerce apps in a single day. This has led to an emphasis on continuous supply chains, the right platforms, and consumer taste profiles. Goenka shared the journey of launching Too Yumm, a healthy snacking brand that introduced Makhanas (fox nuts) as a healthier alternative in 2017. Despite makanas not being widely known across India, Too Yumm made them popular by offering flavorful, healthy versions. Goenka explained that consumers are increasingly experimental and health-conscious, seeking products that are tasty yet healthy. Too Yumm pivoted from offering makanas to healthier alternatives like low-fat bujias and chips, focusing on product and flavor innovation while ensuring that taste remains a key priority.
