Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday presented her maiden Union Budget in the Parliament, becoming only the second woman to present the Union Budget in the history of independent India. Starting her Budget speech earlier in the day, Sitharaman emphasised that Budget 2019 is for all and government's approach towards all the programmes is based on 'Gaon, Garib and Kisan' (Village, Poor and Farmer).
