Heavy rain changes face of Agra, Mathura and Lucknow, causes flood-like situation

In Agra city, areas like Kamla Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Subhas Bazaar, Lohamandi, Guru Ka Taal, Wazirpura, Deorathi, Sikandra, Prakash Nagar, Shashtripuram and other places also reported flood streets and lanes.
Heavy downpour was also reported in the neighbouring district of Agra, such as Mathura, Aligarh, Firozabad, Firozabad and others. An official source said, “The city received highest downpour between 5:30am to 8:30am which was 49.4 mm, while 26.6 mm rainfall was between 2:30 am to 5:30 am.”Due to heavy downpour, areas like Roshan Mohalla and Bijli Ghar reported heavy flood, and ground floor of every house was completely submerged in rainwater forcing local residents to climb atop their home roofs.An arterial road connecting Jaitpur to Pinhat caved in creating 50 feet wide and 20 feet deep pothole, which blocked the traffic between two towns.
