To make Ujjwala Yojana a success, the Narendra Modi government had asked the people of India to give up subsidy. Many people did and hence Ujjwala Yojana was an achievement of Modi government. This is why PM Modi was heard thanking the people of India as well. You may also be asked to give up railway subsidy.
