Maharashtra Election 2024: 'Betrayers Beware' — Aaditya Thackeray’s Bold Warning to Rivals

ABP News Bureau   |  11 Nov 2024 09:08 AM (IST)

As the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 campaign intensifies, verbal clashes between political leaders are heating up. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and son of Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, recently targeted the ruling Mahayuti government, criticizing Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. His main focus was on the issue of youth unemployment in Maharashtra, for which he placed the blame on the current government. Aaditya further questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of promoting "election-focused Hindutva" that, he claims, does not genuinely address the needs of the people. Campaigning for Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Manoj Jamsutkar in the Madanpura area of Byculla constituency, Aaditya highlighted local issues, particularly the lack of job opportunities despite the area’s talent and potential. "Madanpura has one of the best football teams and immense talent, but it suffers from a lack of employment opportunities," he stated. Aaditya accused the Shinde government of diverting local jobs to Gujarat, depriving Maharashtra’s youth of potential careers within their own state. Through these remarks, Aaditya Thackeray underscored his party’s commitment to addressing unemployment and supporting local talent, aiming to galvanize voter support for the Shiv Sena (UBT) in the upcoming election. His statements reflect a broader critique of the Mahayuti government’s policies, which the opposition argues are failing to prioritize the interests of Maharashtra’s youth.
