Amid protests over the Centre’s new recruitment policy for the Armed forces, Lt General Anil Puri, the Additional Secretary of the Department of Military Affairs, said that the main motive behind implementing the Agnipath scheme was to bring in more youth into the forces. “This reform was long pending.
