Rajkot MSME Sector Seeks Budget Policies for Local Production and Easier Capital Access

Rajkot city in Gujarat is a major hub for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector in the state. Industrialists associated with the MSME sector are eagerly looking forward to this year's union budget with high expectations of more support for localised production. Some industrialists have urged the government to make favourable policies for ease of capital availability by simplifying GST slabs. Members of the MSME sector from Rajkot met union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to put forward their expectations from the budget. They say, they are hopeful that the budget when tabled will incorporate many of their suggestions. The new NDA government will table its first budget on Tuesday. This will incidentally be Nirmala Sitharaman's seventh straight budget.
