Ayodhya Dispute: SC's decision to adjourn the matter till January is wrong, says Mahant

ABP News Bureau   |  29 Oct 2018 12:24 PM (IST)

The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned till January, the hearing of a batch of pleas challenging the 2010 judgment of Allahabad High Court splitting the disputed Ayodhya land among Hindus, Muslims and the Nirmohi Akhara.

The disputed land on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid area in Ayodhya was divided into three parts, according to the High Court's verdict.

Following which, several appeals were filed in the matter. The matter today was heard under “direction matters” by a bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and comprising Justices S K Kaul and K M Joseph. The hearing began at 11.30 am.
