As votes are being counted on Thursday (October 24), BJP and the Shiv Sena look all set to retain the western state of Maharashtra. The two parties have somehow crossed 150 mark in the 288-member Assembly. On the other hand, Senior Congress leader and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday called on the opposition parties to form government, after the trends projected a hung assembly, with both Congress and BJP pitched in a neck-and-neck fight.
