When Mumbai Police Conducted Over 400 Encounters in 1990s

Kanpur Gangster Vikas Dubey, who was responsible for the brutal killing of eight policemen earlier this month, was shot dead in a police encounter. He was at large for over seven days and was arrested from Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain. However, such encounters are not something new for the police. In Maharashtra, Mumbai police several such encounters in the 1990s.
