To curb the spread of Coronavirus across the country, the DRDO has stepped up its efforts to an almost war-like proportion. The DRDO has developed a special full-body disinfectant chamber which will help to remove the virus from the surface of the body. A private company based in Ghaziabad which had earlier worked with the army on ways to protect the country in an event of biological warfare has received the responsibility of manufacturing these special chambers. ABP News team visited the facility to check how this ‘walkthrough chamber’ can help in destroying the virus. The 6 feet high and 10 feet wide disinfectant chamber is fitted with pipes. You enter the chamber through a small tunnel and then the pipes will spray a mixture of water and Hypo-Sodium Chloride from all directions. One must remain within the chamber for 25 seconds and continuously rotate 360 degrees so that you are completely free of the virus from head to toe. The chamber, therefore, helps in washing away the coronavirus. The special chamber has been designed by Defence Research and Development Organisation or DRDO’s Ahmed Nagar (Maharashtra) based Vehicle Research Lab or VRDO to fight coronavirus. The Ghaziabad-based company DH Limited has been selected for bulk production so that it can be placed in areas where a crowd is expected.
