Congress leader Digvijaya Singh tweeted in a reply to 'The Hindu' tweet, "Would be grateful if the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights comes to India for a week for an open Public Hearing of blatant Human Rights violations by Administration and Establishment in India".

The Hindu tweeted, "The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet appealed to India to review the FCRA and its compliance with international human rights norms, and regretted that it was being “used to deter or punish NGOs" for human rights reporting".
