Chinese President Xi Jinping has asked its armed forced to stay alert to protect the sovereignty of China's borders. This statement comes amid mounting tension between Indian and Chinese forces across the LAC in Ladakh-Tibet border. Jinping made this statement during the 13th meeting of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Several senior members of the Chinese Communist Party and People's Liberation Army were present in the meeting.
