New Delhi: Several eagle-eyed royal watchers viewing Queen Elizabeth II's funeral couldn't help but notice one unexpected attendee: a spider. A video of the crawling creature on top of a letter that was placed on to the Queen's coffin has gone viral, drawing an avalance of reactions from netizens who tweeted their thoughts after spotting the spider.
Social media users noticed the uninvited guest on a handwritten card placed in some lovely flowers on top of her coffin. The note appeared to be written by King Charles III. The note read, "In loving and devoted memory. Charles R."
The state funeral began as the coffin of the late monarch was carried into Westminster Abbey. In the congregation of around 2,000 made up of world leaders, royalty from the UK and overseas and community leaders, India was represented by President Droupadi Murmu and Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra.
"Did anyone else see the spider riding on Queen Elizabeth II's coffin?" one Twitter user inquired. "Right now, the most famous spider in the world," said another.
"It's said that the Queen loved it when things went awry. I think she'd love the bishop dropping his paper on the floor as well as the spider in her flower arrangement. #queensfuneral," another commented.
Another user commented on Twitter, saying, "The Queen and the spider. That's a book title right there," one of the users tweeted, amongst various reactions, "is there a Twitter account for the Queen's Coffin Wreath Spider yet?"
According to a report by Metro, the small, green spider quickly vanished into the bouquet, but images of it are now circulating on Twitter and other social media platforms.
Some of the world's most powerful people gathered in London to bid farewell to the country's longest-reigning monarch, who died on September 8. Thousands of people lined the streets of London in anticipation of the state funeral, the first in Britain in 57 years.
Normally bustling streets fell silent as young and old gathered in towns, villages, and cities outside of London to watch the live broadcast of the service from Westminster Abbey.

"That was the thing with the Queen, she brought everybody together, so this is a fitting way to end her reign, with everyone coming together to see her funeral," one of the locals quoted by news agency Reuters as saying.
Some bowed their heads, while others wiped away tears as Britain bid farewell to its monarch.
