From the modern hip hop to the Ballet to Folk, there are several dance forms practiced across the world. And each dance form has a style very unique to it. A video of a dance being performed by Russian dancers has gone viral on the internet.

In the clip shared on the social media, a troupe of female Russian dancers can be seen performing the folk dance known as the Berezka. The dancers while performing take very small steps and are in absolute sync that gives an illusion as if they are floating on stage.

The traditional dance form was introduced by Russian dancer and choreographer Nadezhda Nadezhdina in the Soviet Union in 1948. The dancers in the troupe wear long robes and glide or float across the stage by taking small steps.

Social media users on seeing the video are amused and wonder how the dancers are able to pull off the step that seems extremely difficult to perform.

The clip shared by @historyinmemes on the micro-blogging site Twitter with the caption "In the Russian dance Berezka, women move with short steps, so short that they look like they're floating." has garnered over 2.7 million views so far.

A Twitter user on seeing the video wrote, "So y'all are saying that there's no wheel underneath the stage?"

"That’ll play havoc with the hips when they get older," wrote another highlighting how difficult the dance moves are.

A third inquisitively wrote, "is there a video where it shows what are their feet doing?"

"Would love to see a rehearsal version of this without the long dresses," wrote a fourth.

"I forgot how wonderful lyrical Russian folk dances are," wrote another user in praise of the dance form.
