Viral News: A video has gone viral on the internet in which an argument can be seen between a passenger and the driver of a bus over the issue of smoking. The video starts with the driver holding a ‘beedi’ in his hand while adjusting the gear. When he looks to the left, he notices that someone is recording him.
As soon as he sees the camera, he asks the passenger why he is making the video. The passenger sarcastically asks, “You’re looking good while smoking?” The driver then asks the passenger to whom he plans to show the video and what the benefit of recording it is.

Next, the passenger asks the driver if smoking while driving is allowed. The driver says that yes, it is allowed for him as he is the driver. He further tells the passenger that if he has a problem, he can either sit in the back seats or book his own car for the trip.

The passenger suggests that if the driver wants to smoke, he can stop the vehicle. To this, the driver replies, “How many times will I stop the bus?” When the passenger asks why he is smoking while driving, the driver says he feels lousy and won’t be able to travel long distances otherwise.

Social Media Users Say on This

One of the users said, “In public roadways bus, I have seen even the passengers drink, smoke bidi cigrette etc.. let the driver conductor have their fix. They have a difficult job.”

Another one said, “For some simple thing you can compromise,  not good to distract a Driver if you can compromise and take another seat. The guy making video seems to be a troublemaker mindset, should not be encouraged.”

A third one wrote that, “The bus is a public place and smoking bidi in it is illegal. This will cause problems to women and children sitting in the bus. If someone has raised their voice then they have done the right thing. But in our country we take everything for granted, so it seems that why was a video made for such a small issue.”

A fourth one said, “They are crazy people, driving really makes one yawn, some eat beedi, some chew tobacco, some smoke bidi, they have to travel 3-400 km a day, let them live, he is calmly telling them to go back, but no! Travelling is in their control, and they also have to become revolutionaries. Mutual understanding is also a thing.”
