Car racing is a thrilling sport that has a great fan following across the world. But, have you ever come across auto-rickshaw drivers engaging in a race? A video of auto-rickshaw drivers racing at significant speed on a specified course has gone viral on the internet. The video has been posted on Reddit with the caption "Auto GP", a European championship with the same moniker.


In the clip, three auto rikshaws are seen standing at a starting line, waiting for the signal to begin the race. As soon as a person standing in front waves a white flag, the autos start moving across the race track. One of the autos manages to take the lead and reaches close to the finishing point, before the video ends. A large number of people can also bee seen gathered to watch the race.


Since being shared, the clip has amassed 4.2k upvotes and several comments.

A few days back, a video of a reverse auto rickshaw driving competition had gone viral. The race was organised in Haripur village of Sangli district of Maharashtra on the occasion of Sangameshwar Yatra, reported news agency ANI.
