Skydiving, bungee jumping and paragliding are mostly about the thrill and the adrenaline rush one gets from performing these sporting activities. A video of one such adventure activity has grasped the attention of the internet users. The clip shared on the social platform Instagram by bucketlisters shows a man being launched into the air with a human catapult.
The man is seen sitting on a catapult-like machine in the video, and after a while is catapulted to a height above the platform before he plunges into a valley and opens his parachute over a river.
The video had garnered over 10k likes on Instagram at the time of writing this.
One of the user on seeing the video wrote, "What if you pass out from fear like some people doing on rides and don’t pull your shoot? I’ll pass."
"He looks like he almost forgot to pull the parachute," wrote on of the user while expressing fear.
Another user had almost the same reaction and wrote, "I thought it was a bungee catapult. Too late of a pull for me."
While another comment read, "Well that’s a solid no if I’ve ever seen one."
However, there were some who wanted to try this adventure sport and get that adrenaline rush that one expects from such adventure activities.
The video is of an annual event called Bridge Day organised in October in West Virginia, US. It is held to commemorate the completion of the New River George Bridge which opened on October 22, 1977. Adventure sport lovers can take part in the event by buying tickets for the Human Rastapult. Bungee jumping, rappelling, and base jumping are some of the activities held on the occasion every year.
