Remember Amerjeet Jaikar from Bihar, the man who instantly became viral for the beautiful rendition of the hit Bollywood number 'Dil De Diya Hai' from the film Masti? Jaikar, has since then continued to gain popularity. This time he has given a Bhojpuri twist to the popular Coke Studio song Pasoori, and the video is viral.
Sharing the video on his Twitter profile on Thursday, Jaikar wrote, "Passori Bhojpuri version. Shayad accha lagega. Kuch alg sa likha hu aur gaaya hu (Maybe you’ll like it. I have written and sung something different)."
In the viral video one can see Jaikar in a recording studio singing the globally hit song Pasoori. While the rhythm and music of the song remains the same, the lyrics is in Bhojpuri.
Pasoori is a Pakistani song originally sung by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill.
Since being shared by Amarjeet, the video has amassed close to 4 lakh views and a plethora of comments.
"I hope @AmarjeetJaikar3 doesn’t get trapped in the Bhojpuri film cycle. He is far too good for the mainline Hindi songs industry. That’s where he must flourish, Bhojpuri can be an occasional exceptional one!," commented one user on the post.
"Really fantastic to see you growing bro....wish you the best," wrote another user.
"I am from Hyderabad, I can't understand bhojpuri but your voice and the song is awesome.... future star singer," wrote a third.
"Nice try bro. The main song is one if my favourite song but you also did good job in this bhojpuri version. Keep going but don't go the trap of bhojpuri you made for hindi songs," wrote a fourth.
